Carla Scocchi

    Carla comes to Maine Ocean School with a background in experiential marine education. Her work experience includes positions at Sea Education Association (SEA Semester) in Woods Hole, MA, Boothbay Sea & Science Center, Maine Maritime Academy, and University of Maine Cooperative Extension. She has taught STEM subjects at almost every level - in and out of the classroom - from adult to undergraduate to K-12 audiences.

     Carla holds a B.Sc. from the University of Rhode Island in Marine Biology, a USCG merchant mariner's license, and is a certified Physical & Life Science teacher in Maine. She is also a candidate for a Master's in Science Teaching (MST) degree through the University of Maine's RiSE (Research in STEM Education) Center.
