The Ocean Theme

The ocean is our theme for every course!  Students choose an academic track:

Marine Science

Marine Transportation

Marine Engineering

Marine Management

The ocean-related theme is integrated into the entire academic program which provides a complete high school curriculum. This program exceeds state standards in eight content areas: Career & Education Development, English Language Arts, Health & Physical Education, Mathematics, Science & Technology, Social Studies, Visual & Performing Arts, and World Languages.

In addition to these core content areas, specialized academic programs focused on Marine Science, Transportation, Engineering, and Management are individually pursued by Maine Ocean School students based on their interests

We are building and strengthening many community partnerships in order to offer internships and real-world experiences to Maine Ocean School students. Learn about the Workforce & Community Development Committee.
